I write award-winning historical romance about pirates, privateers, smugglers and the occasional possum.

Simply Perfect - Mary Balogh It didn't move me as much as some other Baloghs, but it will be enjoyed by everyone who's read the "Slightly" or "Simply" series. This novel finishes the quartet of "Simply" stories, the tales of the teachers at Miss Martin's Academy in Bath. Naturally, Balogh saved Miss Martin's story for last, and not surprisingly, Miss Martin, that fierce opponent of the aristocracy, falls in love with the heir to a dukedom. As engaging as it was, the characters didn't come alive for me the same way as they have in some of Balogh's other novels, but it's still an enjoyable read.
