Another steampunk winner from Meljean Brook. I think what I liked best about this one was neither the hero nor heroine is a warrior, but both rise to the occasion when called upon to be heroic. In addition, there's a deep discussion of sexual identity that was a refreshing change from the uber-heterosexual heroes and heroines we usually find in a romance. Brook's worldbuilding continues to be solid and fascinating. I'm looking forward to more in the Iron Seas series.
